This is a beautiful climb, in a beautiful region. This is a variation on the main climb. You start the same way in Beuvron (a lovely village by the way) but it's as if after the first kink you get scared to ride straight up the hill so you turn right first to postpone the pain a bit. Postponement, however, is not a reprieve. You first ride on a very narrow, undulating road that is not in very good shape. Then you turn towards the summit anyway and things get pretty tricky.
