We came here by chance since you cannot continue (until July 10) to Auris-en-Oisans. The closure is just after the turnoff to Le Rosai.
Very nice climb. Really a relief when you leave for La Garde the Alp d'huez. What peace and beauty. You encounter virtually no one there. The last part when you turn off the main road to continue climbing to Le Rosai is completely quiet. Road was pretty good. There were only a lot of pine cones. You have to be a bit careful when descending. On top of the mountain you don't have much. You have a restaurant, but it looked a bit deserted when we were there.

We kwamen hier toevallig aangezien je niet verder kan (t/m 10 juli) naar Auris-en-Oisans. De afsluiting zit net na de afslag naar Le Rosai.
Hele mooie klim. Echt een verademing als je naar La Garde de Alp d'huez verlaat. Wat een rust en schoonheid. Je komt er nagenoeg niemand tegen. Het laatste stuk als je dus de hoofdweg afslaat om verder te klimmen naar Le Rosai is helemaal rustig. Weg was redelijk goed. Er lagen allen veel denneappels. Met afdalen is het dus wel een beetje oppassen. Boven op de berg heb je niet veel. Je hebt een restaurant, maar dat zag er toen wij er waren wat uitgestorven uit.

An amazing little climb next to alpe dhuez. Quiet, more hikers than anything. Cute little village at the top just past the parking lot.
