Vanuit Vetschau gezien begint de klim op het punt waar het bord "einde bebouwde kom"staat. Hierna loop het via het tunneltje onder de Autobahn geleidelijk op tot aan de ingang van de begraafplaats. Aansluitend vlakt het af maar loopt het aan het einde richting de splitsing met de Orsbacher Strasse nog even flink op en moet je even doortrappen om de top te bereiken..

Dit lijkt een brede doorgaande weg te zijn maar eigenlijk loopt deze weg “dood” in Vetschau. De weg is dus erg rustig en ligt dicht bij de Nederlandse grens en is goed aan te rijden vanuit Bocholtz of (via Horbach) vanuit Kerkrade.
Voor en onder het viaduct loopt de weg geleidelijk op. Daarna volgt een steiler gedeelte met daarna een afdalinkje waarna een tweede nog steiler gedeelte volgt en die voel je wel even. Bovenop de klim kan je richting Orsbach of hard naar beneden naar het centrum van Laurensberg. De weg is wel omringd door groen maar heeft verder weinig uitzicht.
