Seen from Vetschau, the climb starts at the point where the "end of built-up area"sign appears. Then it gradually climbs via the small tunnel under the Autobahn to the entrance of the cemetery.

Larger road with little traffic and divided into two sections. From the motorway bridge, the road initially climbs at a moderate gradient to the sports fields, followed by a flat section. The last 200 metres are steep again and more difficult than expected from the bottom.

This seems to be a wide through road, but actually this road "dead-ends" in Vetschau. The road is very quiet and close to the Dutch border and is easy to drive from Bocholtz or (via Horbach) from Kerkrade.

Before and under the viaduct the road rises gradually. Then follows a steeper part with a small downhill after which a second, even steeper part follows and you'll feel it for a while. On top of the climb you can go in the direction of Orsbach or hard down to the center of Laurensberg. The road is surrounded by greenery but has little view.
