Had er eerlijk gezegd wat meer van verwacht. Qua omgeving is er een mooie afwisseling, qua bochten niet. Het gaat ontzettend lang rechtdoor en dat is wat saai. Na een tijd ko. Je bij de haarspeldbochten, helaas is hier best wat bebouwing waardoor je niet per se heel mooie uitzichten hebt. De klim is nergens echt lastig maar duurt gewoon wat lang haha.

Very nice climb, especially the part with the hairpin bends through basse baroche. Very different from most of the Vosges climbs, I imagined myself in Switzerland. On a Sunday afternoon in August, not much traffic, mainly motorbikes.
By the way, there is a clear top, that is the t-junction with the d11, where you can go left to trois epis and right to orbey. That is a bit further on the same road as indicated on the map here. Altitude 770 m.
Erg mooie klim, vooral het stuk met de haarspeldbochten door basse baroche. Heel anders dan de meeste Vogezen klimmen, ik waande me in Zwitserland. Op zondagmiddag in augustus weinig verkeer, vooral wat motoren.
Overigens is er wel een duidelijke top, dat is de t-splitsing met de d11, waar je links naar trois epis kunt en rechts naar orbey. Dat is een stukje verder op dezelfde weg als staat aangegeven op het routekaartje hier. Hoogte 770 m.
This is a varied climb with 3 different stages. First, you ride from Ammerschwihr on a straight road along vineyards to the forest. Then through the forest along a babbling river where it is somewhat steeper and then you get several hairpin turns through different parts of the village. A real clear top you do not have. At the top of the village several short descents and climbs alternate.
Dit is een afwisselende beklimming met 3 verschillende fases. Eerst rij je vanuit Ammerschwihr over een rechte weg langs wijnranken naar het bos. Dan door het bos langs een kabbelend riviertje waar het wat steiler is en vervolgens krijg je diverse haarspeldbochten door verschillende delen van het dorpje. Een echte duidelijke top heb je niet. Bovenin het dorpje wisselen enkele korte afdalingen en klimmetjes elkaar af.
