The climb no one is going to do... logical too because when you turn off the main road and before you see the road towards the Redoute getting steeper it feels strange (and inappropriate) to turn off.
Still, this climb is quite pleasant. After the first part of the Redoute climb, you turn right after which a descent follows and you then cycle back up mainly through forest on a winding and narrow road (though partly with moderate asphalt). Further on you turn left again and you will see the - then again good - road climb up the slope nicely and partly quite steeply until you reach the Redoute monument. If you have done the Redoute many times before or your legs protest too much before you get to the really steep part, this is a nice alternative.
