Frankly I've been pleasantly surprised by this Amenucourt climb. It's in the shadow of La Roche Guyon but yet it's just as good: a complicated start in the village, then the slope remains steady but above 10% in the forest. It is very pleasant no traffic, no noise, beautiful countryside at the end of the forest. Hard without being exhausting. Overall, it is just as complicated as the Limon at La Ferté-sous-Jouarre or the Bruyère climb from Sèvre. However, you shouldn't e... read more

It is very pleasant no traffic, no noise, beautiful countryside at the end of the forest. Hard without being exhausting. Overall, it is just as complicated as the Limon at La Ferté-sous-Jouarre or the Bruyère climb from Sèvre. However, you shouldn't expect it to be harder than the Roche Guyon climb, although you can link them together. For me, it's one of the most underrated climbs.

Nice quiet little road. Just the birds. No more cars. A joy.
It climbs quite steeply but it's so short. And this farm is impressive. Yes, it's a very pleasant climb.

Jolie petite route toute calme.

A beautiful slope leading to the route des crêtes. Little used by cars. A must for an outing in the Vexin.
