A short, quiet kilometre to warm up, then the gradient becomes terrifying and, apart from crossing the hamlet of Le Lancieux, never drops below 11-12% with sections of 15-18%
After the terminus sign, there's still a short stretch of road, not in very good condition, to go as far as the Vonezins farm, which also serves as a restaurant.
This ascent of La Closette was the last of our day after those of La Blonnière, Le Sappey and Montremond. We had planned 2 others and, given the difficulty, it was more prudent and reasonable to enjoy a good day out.
Thank you to the Climbfinder website for helping me discover these magnificent and sometimes very wild places, away from the hustle and bustle of the major passes.
