This is a beautiful, little-known climb that takes you to the Vallée de Joux and hence to Le Brassus via a route that is much less busy than the Col du Marchairuz. The ascent takes you through a peaceful forest, with no major difficulties, but you need to save some energy for the end, which is steeper over a short section. There are a number of chalets along the way, ideal for taking a break or refuelling.
