Nice to see that this climb in my own much-loved village of Ellikom, where I grew up as a child and still live and where, in my dreams as a child on my children's bike, I often found myself in the Tour or in some cycling classic, has just enough climbing points to be included on this nice site. The slope starts at the A brook, is very short but still has a surprisingly steep section on which many visitors to the Erperheide Centerparcs holiday park, which is only a kilometre and a half away i... read more

Nice to see that this climb in my own much-loved village of Ellikom, where I grew up as a child and still live and where, in my dreams as a child on my children's bike, I often found myself in the Tour or in some cycling classic, has just enough climbing points to be included on this nice site. The slope starts at the A brook, is very short but still has a surprisingly steep section on which many visitors to the Erperheide Centerparcs holiday park, which is only a kilometre and a half away in neighbouring Erpekom, have undoubtedly bitten their teeth in the past.A fun fact is that in 1985, just a few hundred metres from the foot, the now famous cycle route network in Belgium and abroad was inaugurated with the inauguration of the very first picture of route no. 1.
