Prachtige kasseiklim met echte Vlaamse klassieker-vibes. Niet extreem steil, maar de kasseien en het pittige stuk rond de bocht maken het toch stevig werken. Boven opent het landschap zich, maar tegen dan heb je al genoeg energie moeten aanspreken. Kort, mooi en verrassend lastig.
Tour of Flanders feel! Very nice and fun climb, not to be missed if you're in the area. Can be combined with the cobbles of the Heuvelstraat.

The highest percentages are just before the turn. I recommend you to choose for the big plateau if possible. It may hurt in the turn, but on the flatter part afterwards it is not pleasant to have to grind. You will bump from left to right.
Wat mij betreft is dit een van de mooiste hellingen in het Hageland. Met kasseien, nota bene! Hoe Vlaams kan een helling zijn. Ze is niet heel steil. De hoogste percentages liggen net voor de bocht. Ik raad aan om als het even kan toch voor de grote plateau te kiezen. Dat kan even pijn doen in de bocht, maar op het vlakkere stuk nadien is het sowieso niet aangenaam om te moeten malen. Dan bots je van links naar rechts.
I've done the climb 3 times this year and the start is pretty steep until just past the turn. The cobblestones make it naturally much harder. At the top you come in the open plain between the fruit trees where it is quite a nice nature. There are quite a few cycling tourists here because it is a smaller copy of several hills in the Flemish Ardennes. Well worth the detour.
Ik heb de klim 3 keer gedaan dit jaar en het begin is best steil tot juist voorbij de bocht . De kasseien maken het natuurlijk van natuur uit veel zwaarder. Boven kom je in de open vlakte tussen de fruitboompjes waar het best wel een mooie natuur is. Je komt hier best wel redelijk veel wielertoeristen tegen omdat het een kleinere copie is van verschillende hellingen uit de Vlaamse Ardennen. Best een omweg waard.
If you want to find the Ronde van Vlaanderen feeling in this region, you should pass by the Kerkstraat. Really a beautiful and challenging cobblestone climb. After passing the church there is the steepest part. If you have any left, you can hurt your cycling buddies on the foothills.
Wil je het Ronde van Vlaanderen gevoel gaan zoeken in deze streek dan moet je langs de Kerkstraat. Echt een mooi en uitdagend kasseienklimmetje. Na het passeren van de kerk is er het steilste stuk. Als je nog over hebt kan je op de uitlopers je fietsmakkers flink pijn doen.
