Nice and not very difficult climb from southern side. Gradient never too steep. From Quermore is way more chalenging. Stunning views from the top on sunny day.

Nice climb, great views from the top, road in good condition as at May 2024. However if you are cycling further into the Forest of Bowland there are currently some really awful and dangerous road conditions. Big potholes, and places where the entire road surface is broken up. Take great care when descending.
