A classic of Pistoia's dirt climbs, it begins just outside the town of Baggio, there is a sign indicating its name and length, about 8 km, the bottom is well rideable, after about 2 km you cross the Bure stream and at times there is some asphalt as you go deeper and deeper into the vegetation of large fir trees. After about 4 km you come to a fork in the road; to the right you end the 1/2 Poggione and re-enter after a short downhill stretch on the Riola, while straight on you continue to the summit almost always immersed in the woods. There's a few semi-inhabited huts and also a (precious) water source, before reaching the summit on the road leading to Badia a Taona on the right and then continuing you return to the Acquerino, instead on the left you arrive at the old Bolognese that joins the via Porrettana (new Bolognese) to the Passo della Collina.
