Saaie vals plat klim over vrijliggend fietspad langs de doorgaande weg van Wijnandsrade naar Hulsberg. Is wel de meest directe route tussen beide plaatsen. In alle andere/mooiere mogelijkheden wordt het flink omrijden.
Long and mostly boring climb, for the most part on a two-way bike path on the left along a big through road. The bike path is concrete and mostly reasonable to good but just before the built-up area of Hulsberg you have to cross to the right and then there is a pretty bumpy bike path. Fortunately this soon changes into a good cycle lane. The climb itself is for the most part hardly noticeable. Here and there there are a few steeper sections.

Het fietspad is van beton en overwegend redelijk tot goed maar vlak voor de bebouwde kom van Hulsberg moet je oversteken naar rechts en dan volgt een behoorlijk hobbelig fietspad. Gelukkig gaat deze al snel over in een goede fietsstrook. De klim zelf is voor een groot deel amper merkbaar. Her en der zijn er iets steilere stukjes.
