Ein wunderschöner vielseitiger Anstieg, weitestgehend über Straßen, die für den Autoverkehr gesperrt sind. Unten geht es im malerischen Niederheimbach mit der imposanten Heimburg los. Am Heimbach entlang fährt man auf leider zum Teil sehr rauen Straßen nach Oberheimbach. Hinter Oberheimbach wird es dann sehr idyllisch und ruhig, denn hier dürfen keine Autos mehr fahren. Durch Felder und Wälder gelangt man so auf die Hochebene des Hunsrück und kann sehr schöne Aussichten genießen.
