Popular and well-known among racing cyclists, probably due to the Rosenheim and Kufstein cycle marathons. Perfect for avoiding the busy country road along the Thierseer Ache. What a gem of a shorter climb. You have to be in good gear right away because you start right at 14-15%. The higher you get the more it flattens out. Only at the end do you get around 6-7%. The road is relatively narrow. Fortunately, the traffic does take good account of you.
Despite the long time above 10%, you do enjoy the scenery.

Once you reach the top of Hinterthiersee, a fountain next to the church provides fresh water and the descent down to Vorderthiersee is pure pleasure.
