Klim over de weg van Mechelen naar Vijlen. De klim begint al in de bebouwde kom van Mechelen t.h.v. de Burg. Pappersweg. Op de 2e splitsing hou je rechts aan en ga je de Hilleshagerweg op. Op zich is het een prima loper die zwaarder aanvoelt dan de stijgingspercentages weergeven. Halfverwege de klim staat na het kapelletje een groepje huizen waar je de steilste 200 meter van de klim krijgt.

Als je deze klim start in Partij net na de dubbele bocht en je rijdt via de Rugweg het Vijlenerbosweg op dan heb je de langste klim van Nederland te pakken. Dit is slechts een deel daarvan. Mooie weg met mooie uitzichten op het Vijlenerbos.

Deze deed veel meer pijn dan het stijgingspercentage beloofde. Voor mijn gevoel duurde de klim trouwens een stuk langer, tot iets na de kerk in Vijlen. Daar zitten dan wel twee korte afdalinkjes tussen, maar dat kan bij de Camerig ook.

Lange klim die behoorlijk golft en daarmee best vermoeiend kan zijn. Het steilste stuk is wel vlak voor en in Hilleshagen. Ook in Mechelen zelf is ff een steiler stukje. Als je de weg volgt naar Vijlen komt er (na een afdaling) nog een keer een leuke puist aan.
