Classic Alberta climb. Highwood Pass is highest paved road in Canada. The road is closed through the winter to road traffic, open only to non-motorized prior to full opening late Spring. Fantastic views through out provincial park. Steady doable gradients on good road with little traffic, especially week days. You will be sure to see wildlife, mountain sheep like the roadside and there are regular bear sitings too. It's a super ride with massive views and fantastic mountain air. It can get cool up top, and / or if the weather changes.
