The climb is very inconsistent: the first 100 meters are 6-7 %, then comes a long falso piano until the road splits between Kastrupvej and Stovbakken. You hold to the right and follow Stovbakken, where the gradients average 5% for the next 300 meters. A steeper 200 meter section of 8-9% now follows and then comes a slight downhill heading into the Bøjen village. You can decide to end the climb there and go left, but if you go right, you will have 500 meters of extra climbing to do to reach the top of Hejlskovvej, where the view is quite panoramic.
This climb means a lot to me, as it was THE local hill climb of my childhood, and so, my rating may be slightly biased, but if you are searching for a longer climb with variation, steep ramps, good views and big altitude gain in the area of Djursland, this climb will tick all marks.
