Was my last climb of the day after a long ride in the heat. So it was hard work. Not the most difficult climb in the area, but it is not easy at all. Comparable to a tough climb in South Limburg.... read more

In this region I have been coming for 4 years. After the death of my wife, I got to know my German friend from Velbert.
The region Essen Kettwig, Velbert and further to Hattingen/ Sprockhövel, is known as the Bergisch Land. An unknown green region in the Ruhr area, but comparable to Dutch Limburg and slopes up to 300m altitude.
Super beautiful unknown bicycle region. This has become my second home. I have done so many hills there that I can write a book about it. Unknown but oh so beautiful region !

Super mooie onbekende fietsregio.
