Rustig knikje, leuk om even mee te pakken. Verder weinig bijzonder aan

Short climb, only very steep for a moment and you're past it in no time. There is relatively little traffic but nothing special in itself.

No Loorberg today but the Gieveld. I had only overlooked this one for a moment. And then it doesn't really make you happy!
As a climb itself, not very exciting, but since you start almost from standstill, it is quite a tough threshold.

Short but crisp climb that leads through a nice environment.

One of the five roads to leave my hometown. At the junction near the church, you turn from the Dorpsstraat onto the Grensweg and the climb actually starts immediately and that's also where the biggest gradient is. After this, it flattens out a bit until Hotel Klein Zwitserland. From the hotel to the top, give it some more push and you will automatically roll into Belgium.

Nice crossing in the direction of Belgium. The climb itself is a bit boring (also in terms of technical challenge) although the curve around the church is nice, but otherwise it's mainly hotels and houses. Immediately after the highest point there is a nice view into Belgium, and the road keeps on going up and down towards Teuven (from where you can go in all directions).

I didn't know that this is a real climb because it is only a short climb in the direction of Teuven. If you don't have much power it is wise to shift to the inside blade. From Slenaken it is the connection to the Belgian side of the Loorberg (Gieveld) which is definitely recommended.

Hidden indeed. When you think you are going for a quiet walk around the church, you are surprised by the hill that looms in front of you. You really have to pedal hard to get to the top, but as soon as you see the electricity poles along the road you've had it. This is also a nice way to visit our southern neighbors.

Inderdaad verborgen.
