The first part (sometimes some moderate tarmac) ascends moderately but you do feel the incline. you ride along the motorway but the thick bushes in between make sure you don't notice much of it. On the left, there are nice views over the agricultural valley and the Lousberg behind it.
After turning right, the view disappears but you get a steep slope in return. The road already feels steeper than the profile indicates, but the cycle path next to it certainly touches 12％. So it's nice to get going, and through a nice environment.
Zeer aangename klim met een lekkere uitsmijter. Het eerste deel (soms wat matig asfalt) loopt matig op maar de helling voel je wel degelijk. je rijdt langs de snelweg maar de dikke bosschages er tussen maken dat je er niet veel van merkt. Aan de linkerkant mooi uitzicht over het agrarische dal en de Lousberg er achter.
Na rechtsaf te zijn geslagen verdwijnt het uitzicht maar je krijgt er een stevige helling voor terug. De weg voelt al steiler aan dan het profiel aangeeft maar het fietspad er naast tikt zeker de 12％ aan. Lekker aanzetten dus, en door een aardige omgeving.
