Very nice and quiet climb in a side valley of the Susten Pass. The climb starts in the forest, which provides pleasant shade. After the first steep kilometers follow some rolling kilometers over the alm. On the right side there are beautiful waterfalls that seem to emerge from the rock face. The last part has again considerable percentages and is a bit of a strain. This is all forgotten at the top of the terrace.... read more

Excellent climb, steep in parts but nearly empty from traffic just cows and some marmots. An excellent road and well worth it for the views on the way up. At the top you can stop at the hotel or a cafe or just admire the scenery beside the water. From here you can walk with out bike over to Melchsee-Frutt which is an adventure :) or go back the way you came till just before the toll booth and turn right to go to Hasliberg and end up at the top of Brunigpass. Either way an wonderful road

Really nice climb! Highly recommended! The tarmac is perfect. Halverwge the climb you come into kind of meadow where the road goes up and down. Here the cows run loose and, as in my case, if the road is wet, you may have to meander through the run-out cow patches. The beginning and end run through the forest. The road is narrow but well-maintained. Lots of water streams along the road that make for pretty pictures. Good luck!

Echt een mooie klim! Aanrader! Succes!

Nice climb. along the way there will be very interesting waterfalls, flowing from a cracked rock. You will especially enjoy this view if there is enough water in nature.

I started this climb on the flat section, where you come up after the descent from Winterlicken. This is because I had done both the Sustenpass and the climb to Winterlicken before.

It is really a beautiful narrow valley with a babbling river on your right and sometimes some waterfalls. Cows with bells everywhere. And almost no traffic.

The end is really steep as I said. At one point, I apparently went slowly enough to get some flies from the cows on and around me as well...

When you get to the car park, it's either left around the bend to the hotel or right for another short section of coarse gravel to get to the lake. That is of course a must do!

Dat is natuurlijk een must do!

Wonderful climb that I unfortunately cycled in misty and cloudy weather at the beginning of July 2022. Despite the drizzly conditions, I enjoyed the very beautiful surroundings. A narrow road that runs through a fairytale-like and deserted valley. The percentages do not lie. However, the surroundings make the pain in the legs disappear like snow in the sun. A gem!

Pareltje!

Nice climb, which starts at the foot of the Sustenpass. After a few kilometers a somewhat narrower road to the left where you cycle a few km in the woods. If you come out of it, you cycle between two large rocks. There it is 4km almost flat, with a fantastic environment of rocks, meadows and a good road surface. After that you can ride hard for over 6km to the top!
