Beautifull climb, wide views. Just the traffic was a spoiler, getting stuck behind tractors both up and down and having to dodge a bus. Worth the effort, though 😎 Mind the turns running on out of sight on your way down.... read more

A hidden gem, a beautiful spot: you cycle up a relatively long but easy climb into an enclosed valley between snow-capped mountains, with horses, cattle, shepherds and a parallel river. Very surprising.

With Davos in Switzerland as a starting point for a hiking & biking holiday, this climb is an ideal warm-up.
You cycle uphill, via a slightly twisting road with some slightly steeper short stretches, into a beautiful long natural valley. Upstream along a narrow mountain river that always remains in your vicinity. Habitation is getting scarcer, the road narrower and the traffic rarer. The not always perfect asphalted route ends just above the 2000 meter border at a lonely mountain guesthouse (supply) in pure nature.

Magnificent natural climb in open valley.
