This was my first climb in doing Simon Warren’s 100 Great British Climbs. So my first proper climb really. A shock is all I can say, I asked a lady at the bottom if I was on the right road and she said if you’re climbing it on a bike you’re going to die!! Says it all really.
One of the big climbs on Exmoor. Average gradient is deceiving as there's a flat section half way up at Webber's Post where you exit the woodland. When climbing it's usually on steep terrain and goes on for a long time. Steepest at the start and toughest towards the end as there's very little respite. Beautiful throughout. A must do when in the area
