The start is barely false flat, but in the bend to the left it gets more uphill. When you think it's finished, there's a small path barely 2 m wide to your right that turns back almost 180° and here it starts to climb unusually steeply. It's best to put your chain on the small plateau before turning up or you'll ride pieces. At the top it runs for a while. One of the steepest bits in the Hageland but very short.

This slope is marked as a hidden gem and it is one.
Via the Bekaflaan and Cranenskapelstraat runs the first section. A nice tarmac road that you can get on with a big gear. No problems here.
Then it's really true that you have to look carefully where to turn right. The little road is so well hidden. I was at a complete standstill when I wanted to turn right, so see that you are already on the right gear right away. You don't have time after the turn to change gears.
It does have a wall, but not too steep or too long. You have to be a bit lucky not to have an oncoming car either, as it is a very narrow road.
After the steepest part, you can change gears bigger if you have some left and there's another spur that's not too bad.

Nice slope to surprise your cycling buddy on a ride ;)

Via the Bekaflaan you may encounter more traffic at first, but from the intersection you approach a residential area. Keep an eye on your GPS, because the steepest part of the climb follows after a very sharp right turn that looks a lot like a house driveway.
The remainder of this little climb is steep, followed by a spur that gives you a nice overview of the surroundings (if you haven't double-jumped).
In short: a very nice climb outside Aarschot, even worth the detour.
