Direction of travel is from Rayleigh train station towards Rayleigh town centre.

A fairly straightforward climb, beginning at the train station that maintains a similar gradient throughout of approximately 4%. Road surface is normal tarmac and is in good condition (zero potholes). As this is one of the main roads into the town centre it is normally busy with traffic. Even though this climb is fairly short, riders should feel accomplished when reaching the summit.

I recommend this climb if the rider is heading through Rayleigh town centre and they fancy a slightly easier climb (this is easier than other climbs that require a lot more effort!).
