A nice climb that is worth a diversion, the part just before the crossroads is well felt in the legs. However, once at the top, to get back down you have to go either via rue Louis Gilles (https://climbfinder.com/fr/montees/rue-louis-gilles-wespes) which is paved and in very poor condition, or continue on rue Four à Verre which is gravel/earth, so for me the best thing to do is to turn around and go back down the mule.... read more

A fine ascent in a beautiful rural setting. The steepest part of the ascent takes place on a newly-surfaced road, in front of a school, which makes it pleasant. Lovely views of the surrounding area from the summit.

Nice little climb with a steep section. Departs from the village of Landelies located in a picturesque part of the winding Sambre valley.

Nice little climb, at one point more difficult 13% and at the top a beautiful panorama. New surface + cycle path on the way up. Close to the Ravel and lock number 9.

A "wall" well worth the effort. I say wall because when the highest gradients arrive and you see the road getting higher, that's really the first word that comes to mind. Personally, I start the route via rue de la Madeleine, which is a good little warm-up where there is very little car traffic. The road surface on rue des Mulets is brand new. You can combine this climb with the Mur de Thuin via the towpath.

A really enjoyable climb. The start is easy but it's when you get to the rue des mulets that the road rises steeply and the gradients on the profile don't lie. The road has just been resurfaced, which makes it all the more pleasant. After turning left there's a beautiful view of the other side of the valley. As the previous comment says, it's better to turn back, as I came down the cobbled road, which is in really bad condition, and I was going faster going up than going down.

A nice climb that is worth a diversion, the part just before the crossroads is well felt in the legs.
