Quand la forêt s'éclaircit, le sommet est proche et on aboutit à de magnifiques points de vue par temps clair sur la vallée et Grenoble, de même que sur la partie locale du « Balcon » (Revel, Corps d'Uriage) et les sommets avoisinants de Belledonne.
