The climb is quite erratic in terms of road and ascent. Large parts are very poor tarmac, sometimes even completely gone. Not fun on a road bike but doable on a gravel bike or MTB. The road keeps winding up along the small river, through a nicely varied forest. Distant views are limited. Along the way, you come across some barriers, all of which were open during my ride. From the car park, the paved road seems to stop but after a few hundred metres it becomes tarmac again and you can continue on... read more

From the car park, the paved road seems to stop but after a few hundred metres it becomes tarmac again and you can continue on tarmac for a few more kilometres. When that really ends you can continue with a forest road up to about 1400 metres high, nice for mountain bikers.
