pretty climb and quiet in the last 6km once the houses disappear. lots of traffic descending in the morning but quiet road going up. mostly 1.5 lanes. 2 sections of single lane with traffic lights to allow reverse traffic; tricky as i couldnt ride fast enough before the lights changed (9％ stretches). cafe opened up top. do not descend via Acquarossa= absolutely awful road surface (cracked, patched, holes, gravelly, a goat track) and very steep in parts.

Rode this climb on a warm day with my brother ahead of the Giro d'Italia (2019). Nice to do this climb with closed roads and other fans... meant it was enjoyable and fun.

Probably wouldn't have done this in isolation as i think that the climb is a little dull, although a few small few waterfalls are quite nice to see, and the road is lovely.
