Did it right after Gordes. Bit more difficult then that climb. The constant gradient in the first part allows you to settle in and enjoy the view near the top. The decent is narrow, but the road surface is good. After the hairpin at the bottom you'll find the Abbey to your left and then the climb begins with the next hairpin, this second part is a consistently steep section which can catch you out if you're expecting a simple 'bumb'.
The views are again amazing, when the lavender fields are blooming allow yourself a selfie-break!

Very pretty slope with a nice view halfway up of Senanque Abbey with its lavender field. Definitely do it if you are in the area.

The climb is magnificent (especially the second part, which overlooks the cliffs). Be careful, the road after the abbey is a one-way street, narrow but suitable for bikes.

I did this on a hot August afternoon after having already cycled from Bédoin via Methamis and Mur. As such what should have been a relatively easily ride was a bit of a slog! I was surprised just how much of a climb it is out of Gordes before you get to the hill down to the Abbé de Senaque. Then, having arrived at the Abbé and admired this little monastic gem (why have they recently scrubbed it clean?), the climb up to the Trois Terme is also surprisingly tough. But, as others have said, the freewheel into Le Colombier is spectacular. (The roaad doesn't actually go directly to Venasque - you need to turn off but it's worth the detour).

A climb with beautiful views over the Luberon mountains. You start at Gordes, a great picturesque village built on limestone cliffs. You then pass the Notre-dame de Sénanque monastery, another landmark that is very popular in this region. From the climb you can admire the monastery quite well. I did this col in late August and found it a pity that the lavender fields around the monastery had already withered. Next time, I'll come a bit earlier in the season so I can admire the beautiful flowers too!

The nice thing about this climb is the descent to Venasque after the "real" summit. Both climbs are easy to do.

If you can combine this with the climb to Gordes, this is a nice recommendation. Then begins the actual climb to the first top, in terms of difficulty this is not so bad. Then you start the descent towards the abbey. Once down, the hardest part starts. Combine this with temperatures of 35 degrees or more and you can really suffer :).

The best part of this climb is (however strange) the descending part. Here you have a nice view of the Notre-Dame Abbey which is a tourist attraction (buses full). The climb itself has some steep parts where it can be hard in the summer, sun on your back and no wind. Otherwise not too long climb.
