Eigenlijk kan je de Col de Portel ook zien als vertrekkend vanuit Rimont en dan is hij stukken langer. Ik heb hem echter nog meegenomen na de Col de la Crouzette. Dan moet je eigenlijk nog maar een paar km klimmen. Maar zelfs dat is relatief want er zit een stukje afdaling in.
Mooie omgeving, geitjes op de weg, de rust van de Pyreneeën. Vanop de top een heel mooi uitzicht op de écht indrukwekkende toppen iets zuidelijker.
