This slope is smoother and calmer than from Saint-Alban-Leysse, but also more irregular, with even a small descent and flats interspersed with steeper sections. The road is lightly used and generally of good quality. The gradient is never too steep, but the many straights make the climb harder on the mind than it really is. As always in the Bauges, the scenery is very pleasant, and you're in the middle of nature at the foot of Mont Margériaz. The descent allows you to pick up a lot of speed, but it's best to have spotted the hairpins beforehand, as some of them are discovered late at the end of a bend.
