The climb is fairly steady, and the road is wide. From St Georges de Commiers, the slope is a little steeper, then becomes gentler. It's when you reach Monteynard that you start to get a very nice view of the lake. The road surface is in very good condition. There's no shade at all on the route.

La montée est assez régulière, et la route est large. Au départ de St Georges de Commiers, la pente est un peu plus raide , et s'adoucit ensuite. C'est en arrivant vers Monteynard qu'on commence à avoir une très belle vue sur le lac. La chaussée est en très bon état. Pas d'ombre du tout sur le parcours.
