Climbed this hill many times, while staying in Mirabel. And to be honest, I do not like it... The good things first: it is a quite road and the view from the top is quite good. But the experience is gerally a frustrating one, as there is barely any consistent longer stretches of climbing at moderate or steeper gradients. It is mostly just rolling terrain, until the last kilometer where a few steep switchbacks give some variation. Unfortunately, what could be a fun ending to the climb is marred by loose gravel that has been thrown on to the pavement. This was an issue in october 2023 and july 2024, and I can't say if it is still the case. Be very careful if you descend the same way back - I crashed there in 2024 as the bike slid out on the loose gravel.

Nice climb, virtually no traffic. Nice to get the climbing back into your legs before going up the Ventoux, for example.

Nice climb with lots of variation in percentages but nowhere really steep. Only the last part is hard. Good tarmac and lots of swerving. Watch out for oncoming (freight) traffic as there are a few "blind" turns.

Cool! As soon as you leave Mirabel, you enter an oasis of calm. Little traffic, changing natural scenery. Percentages are easy to digest, only the finale requires a little effort. The descent ripples gently until Les Pilles, where you can enjoy a fabulous view of the riverside village.

Gaaf!

Climbed 2 July 2021. Beautiful climb with indeed a somewhat tricky last km. Beautiful views and often good weather. Lovely cycling. Highly recommended.

Beklommen 2 juli 2021. Heerlijk fietsen. Aanrader.

Nice climb, nice and quiet and nice surroundings. Where the valley is narrowest it gets a bit steeper for a while, but only the last 500m is really steep. Unfortunately, that was resurfaced in autumn 2023 with a few centimetres of crushed stone. So standing on the pedals that last bit doesn't work: your rear wheel will slip. So sit down and keep going.
The descent on the other side is a very wide open valley and with the low percentages you can descend and look around.

Even zittend doorbijten dus.

Nice climb to ride. Percentages are between three and four per cent. However, the devil is in the tail. Beautiful scenery and very quiet.

Beautiful surroundings and the climb is easy to do. The Drôme Provencale is anyway a beautiful area to cycle.
