A fantastic climb with very little traffic and a prefect road surface. The middle section has a constant gradient of above 7％ with one kilometre above 9％. The steep middle section is accompanied by beautiful hairpin bends. This is definitely a must do climb!!! During my climb, though, there was a lot of wind which doesn't make it any easier

This is an absolute must-do if you are in the region. As you can already see from the profile: its shape approaches perfection. Note: the climb is full of sun, so don't do it in the middle of the day in summer unless you like to get to the top cooked. After the fine descent, you can sit down at 1 of the nice terraces.

Nice climb, I did it from camping Le Moulin just before Bezaudun, then it starts steep right away so it takes some effort. Also, the signs at the start told me the kilometre was 4％, which turned out to be 8 or 9. You can get into a good rhythm after that, sometimes there are slightly steeper parts but generally I found it quite regular. I did m at half past seven and only got into the sun at the top, which was great as I was already hot in the shade too, so don't do this one too late as it will burn you alive. I myself did the steep bit from bezaudun at an average of 15 per hour but that's pretty hard riding. Descent great to saillans with a good not too steep road with nice curves and views. Definitely recommended!

Today for the 4th time the Col de la Chaudiere from Bourdeaux climbed and very good news because the last 6 km they have laid asphalt instead of gravel.
This makes the descent on this side much safer.
Many cyclists this time compared to 2 years ago. It remains a beautiful col with a quiet approach and then nice and irregular and at times quite steep.

Nice climb of 11.6 km length and average 5.8％ but that's because the first 5 km rise only 3 to 4％ average especially for those who like the not too long and extremely hard cols. ( the first 3.36 km is even only 2.9％ average ).
I climbed the col in July 2020 3 times from Bourdeaux along the track with the mountenbike ( Minerva ) with wide mountenbike tyres. The first part is slightly uphill and can be done with the big plateau in front. After the small bridge in Bézaudin, the road gets steeper with an average of 9.4％ for 2 kms at 4 km from the top, with some very steep parts well above 10％ . There is little or no traffic and the second part there is a lot of gravel on the road so watch out for the descent. There is little or no shade except for the last kilometer and no sale of water or such. The only downside is that the road is very wide and I find this less pleasant. My first time I drove on flexibility 1h 02' 56". The 2nd time 58' 30 " and the 3rd time 56'12" without forcing and I am 57 years. The view on the way and at the top is very nice and the col is situated in a beautiful area ( The Drome ) . I did not suffer from the heat (25 to 30 degrees but I brought enough water). A few km from the foot is the col de Pascalin (6.2 km) long and also very pleasant to climb.
Definitely a must.

Nice climb with beautiful views. Asphalt is good and very little traffic. I climbed this mountain with a northern wind of force 4 to 5. After the bridge at about 6 km from the top I only had head wind until the hairpin turns. After that alternating wind with or against. The wind made this climb extra hard because you ride almost only without protection.

In short, a nice climb that I would do again.
