Super long pass that never gets boring. There's a lot of switchbacks, a lot of high gradients and a great view as you go from one hairpin to the next. The surface is impeccable, but the cars drifting through the hairpins can be a little unsettling. At the end, you get a well-deserved superb view of Marseille! I recommend it!... read more

A must-do pass if you're in the area. The start from Gemenos in the cool under the trees in a superb setting is a pleasure, and the difficulty arrives gradually before you emerge from the cover of the trees and get to the heart of the matter. It's a very continuous effort, so find the right sprocket and your cadence and it goes by itself, too bad if your friend has a different gear and is going 0.3 or 0.5kmh faster, under the sun it's better to keep your pace and be late than to explode in the middle. The views and scenery are superb all the way, a real pleasure. The descent is great on both sides, although we prefer to go back down on the Gemenos side because of the quality of the road (which is sometimes worse on the other side and often wetter).

Superb climb, similar to the Ventoux training run from Sault (same gradients, but half as long). Great views at times and at the summit!

Super col long et jamais ennuyeux.

A very pretty pass with very little traffic. First kilometre in the forest before the start of the real climb. Some nice twists and turns, a few flat spots and a sublime view of Marseille once you reach the top. The climb is relatively easy, with no major gradients, but beware of the wind.

Wonderful climb! Hairpin bends, phenomenal views. Climb starts in forest and as soon as you leave the trees behind you enter the hairpin bends. Great landscape to cycle in. Little shade and climb is on south side, so was very hot. Very worthwhile. Road surface is fine and traffic is not too bad.

Prachtige klim! Haarspeldbochten, fenomenaal uitzicht.

It's like a mountain pass in the Alps, with big twists and turns and a great view of Marseille and the coast once you get there. Quite rolling and very little traffic.
