Climbed on 1 July 2021 with the cycling club (on holiday). Nice climb in beautiful surroundings. Views (also of Mont Ventoux) beautiful. Beautiful valley and nice village. Also worth a visit. On the col some road works so a bit dusty, but still enjoyed it immensely.... read more

This segment is misleading: I prefer to speak of the climb to Brantes followed by the false flat to the Col de Fontaube.

The Brantes climb is 1.84km at an average of 6.8%. It's got good percentages, it's pretty steady, and the ride through the village of Brantes is absolutely magnificent! What's more, the whole climb has just been resurfaced, so it's a pleasure to ride!

At the top, the départementale leads to the Col des Aires on the right, or to the Col de Fontaube on the left. Here, the gradient is very gentle. The view of the Ventoux is breathtaking, before you enjoy the tortuous descent to the Col de Fontaube with great care!

Leuke klim in mooie omgeving.

Beautiful climb! Especially hard in the beginning of the climb, to and through the village of Brantes. Then it remains a little less steep. There you get a beautiful view of the 'back' of Mont Ventoux.

Prachtig beklimming!
