This is a sweet little ride – steep enough to raise he heart rate but nothing too alarming. The best aspect is that the road is very quiet (I must have seen a car once or twice but I don't remember it). The views over Mt Ventoux are also spectacular – there's a picnic spot about half way which I recommend for a pause.
In the land of villages perché La Roque-Alric at the top of the climb takes the prize – it's crazily 'perché' with a bijou chapel as a cherry on top.

I don't recommend this climb for the sporting aspect, but for the beauty of the place. If you continue past the coast, you come to a village perched on a simply magnificent roof rock.

It will be a nice tour, from Malaucene via Le Barroux and Lafare towards Suzette. Recommended: spicy without having to work hard.
