There's nothing exceptional about this little coastline, but it's pleasant nonetheless. There is a lot of traffic on the French side, but if you plunge into Spain the road becomes deserted and wilder. At the bottom of the descent you can return to France via the Lizuniaga or Lizarietta passes.

It's a very quiet, gentle climb, with a good surface and cars driving slowly. There are some fine views of the sea on the way up, but nothing at the top.

A busy road at times, due to the commercial district at the top of the pass.
A pleasant route nonetheless, slightly narrow in places. From time to time, pretty landscapes can be seen between the trees.

There is nothing wrong with this climb. It is about 4 kilometres long and they have signs along the road every 500 metres telling you how far you still have to go. The climb does not have many views, because you drive between the trees. Therefore only 3 stars. The road surface is fine, traffic is there but not irritating. The descent on the Spanish side is a nice winding course with good road surface. Nice and fast!

Lekker knallen!
