This is really steep. Done at 30°, the sweat was dripping off - riding up at leisure is not in the cards. If you like steep stuff, you should do this one - the road surface is fine for climbing.... read more

A beast of a climb. Nice and steep! Good thing I have a km-counter on my bike, that way you can tick off the meters and see when you have (finally) reached the top. And yes, you can extend this climb a bit.... so that it becomes a little bit heavier. But to descend to Coo I would still use the asphalt road.

Een beest van een beklimming. Lekker steil ding!

If you now at the last intersection just go straight ahead, you extend the climb with a few tens of meters asphalt up, then at the t-junction left through forest down, you descend the Thier de Coo.
A rough path! have fun

Recently, on a trip to the Ardennes, we were able to map out some really nice routes with the info from Klimtijd.nl, thanks for that! We also visited the Renardmont. For me it was the place (fourth day of cycling, a bit too many special beers the night before) where I got a nasty cramp in my left calf so I had to pause the climb, but it's clear you can hurt yourself here. By the way, after the steepest part after the crossing out of the forest, the road becomes very bad and in my opinion not doable for a racing bike. No asphalt, just gravel and sand. We turned around and drove back to Coo via Ster.
