Lovely climb. Majority of the ascent is in the shade and the road quality is excellent. Levels off a little in the final KMs before a final ramp to the buvette. Overall an especially hard climb for the Jura but well worth the effort. Word of warning on the descent though, the road is quite narrow in places and the combination of tight technical turns and the occasional bit of gravel or forest debris in the road can mean the descent should best be taken carefully.
A demanding climb, which you won't regret once you've reached the summit. Just under 10km is a short distance, but the irregular gradients, often in excess of 10%, can make the climb long. The climb is fairly shady, apart from a few sections at the top, where the wind can blow. The road is very narrow, I passed 3 cyclists on the way up and passed 3 others coming down. I passed one car on the way up and none on the way down, but I was careful all the same. In fine weather, the view from the top is fantastic, and well worth all the effort. As for the high-altitude restaurant, from what I saw of it, it's the price of living in Switzerland, so I advise you to take your snacks with you. Happy climbing :)
Bonne ascension :)
