Also known as "Giovenzana" or "Muro di Cagliano" it is a real challenge to oneself. It starts around 10% then descends towards the little church of Paù...but then comes the wall, slopes that increase to 20 %, really tough! Nice view at the top... read more

Anyone who wants to prepare psychologically and physically for the Sormano Wall, I highly recommend coming to try this climb and its last wall of about 500m before the Cagliano Washhouse. It is my favorite Brianza climb, a beast of a climb with a leg-breaking, breath-stopping finish. As I said above, the final two hairpin bends of this climb are no match for the tougher sections of the very famous wall. Try it, it is a great test in my opinion. Here it is tracked all the way to the village of Campsirago, the last bit is a bit of an eat and drink. If you don't want to turn right for Campsirago, you can continue to the Hermitage of San Genesio where the last mile and a half is a compact dirt road.

Nice climb for the 75% shared with the climb to San Genesio. The shared part going up from Cagliano presents the "strappone" which for a few hundred meters also shows the 20% slope just near Cagliano. Below it is more rideable in truly beautiful surroundings with a mountain flavor. Returning to the part that differs from San Genesio near Madonna del Sasso, no big deal, climb always 8% then the last half kilometer flattens out until the'arrival in Campsirago. The bar at the Stala del Re restaurant is also open on weekends.

Bel panorama in cima

Short and steep. It starts regular, but it gets very hard after the 8th hairpin, with gradients between 13% and 18% for quite a long section (>500 m). A flemish wall in Brianza.

Beautiful climb, short but very demanding with 2 climbs with double-digit gradients. the difficult part is about 3 km at 9% average. asphalt in excellent condition, they have also redone a section towards the end which was always very slippery and risky on the descent. the panorama at giovenzana is splendid, on a clear day you can see the skyscrapers of milan with all the hills of montevecchia in front of you. excellent for winter training as it is always exposed to the sun
