Salita molto interessante per i notevoli paesaggi ed i luoghi attraversati, primo tra tutti il 'Nido delle Aquile' a circa metà percorso: la percorro ogni anno ma lo spettacolo é garantito.
La valutazione dipende dalla strada che é tenuta piuttosto male e non é raro trovarla chiusa per frane che vengono rimosse molto lentamente.
Consiglio la salita solo nei mesi estivi e comunque va prestata molta attenzione ai sassi ed al pietrisco sulla carreggiata.
Il traffico é praticamente inesistente se non in prossimità del valico e nel breve tratto, abbastanza ripido, che porta a Campo Staffi.
