Thr climb starts after a short, sharp decent from Menzingen centre (great bakery makes pastry stop worthwhile); a few steep-ish brings you up to plateau, where you get fantastic views back to the Menzingen monastery and towards the Gottschalkenberg. Second part of climb starts after couple of flat kms: again, fairly steep/intense but manageable short. Good road surface, little traffic (apart from the odd agricultural vehicle).
