Een absoluut juweeltje. Waar vindt je nu een slingerende bosweg in een industriële omgeving!? Heerlijk manier om de drukte te ontduiken! Prima wegdek en een lekker klimpercentage. Op het eind moet je even tussen wat paaltjes door waarna je het laatste stuk door een woonwijk fietst tot aan de rotonde. Ik ga deze zeler nog eens doen!

La côte de Bois Saint-Laurent, "aka" la rue du Sart Tilman se trouve à quelques centaines de mètres de chez moi, j'ai eu l'occasion de l'emprunter à maintes reprises et par tous les temps et c'est toujours un plaisir quelques soient les conditions. Petit conseil, évitez la descente lorsque le soleil n'est pas lévé, il n'y a pas d'éclairage.
Cette montée n'est pas compliquée, les 400 premiers mètres sont les plus abruptes avec un maximum de 10％, la suite se fait au train.

One moment you are strolling between trucks, factory buildings and the rampant weeds of a banlieu, four beautiful hairpin bends later, the Vurige Stede is only a brief panorama amidst the greenery and industrial noise has made way for bird song. You can fully enjoy this, as there are no vehicles here and the percentages are modest. At the top you are again surrounded by houses, with a busy crossroads connecting the city to its university, but at least you have had a taste of that Ardennes feeling.

Het ene moment laveer je nog tussen de vrachtwagens, de fabrieksgebouwen, en het welig tierende onkruid van een banlieu, vier fraaie haarspeldbochten later is de Vurige Stede alleen nog een kortstondig panorama tussen het groen en heeft industrieel lawaai plaatsgemaakt voor vogelgeluiden. Daar kan je ten volle van genieten, want voertuigen kom je hier niet tegen en de percentages blijven al bij al bescheiden. Boven kom je weliswaar opnieuw tussen de huizen, met op de top een druk kruispunt dat de stad met haar universiteit verbindt, maar je hebt tenminste toch even van dat Ardennengevoel kunnen proeven. After the first part with the hairpin bends, which is the toughest, you come to a crossroads with a barrier on the other side. Here you have to watch out for traffic and drive around the barrier. After this it is a bit steep.
Leuke klim om met te starten vanuit Luik maar zonde van de moeilijke aanloop door de onaangename wegen in de Maasvallei. Na het eerste deel met de haarspeldbochten, dat toch wel het zwaarste is, kom je bij een kruispunt met een slagboom aan de overkant. Hier zal je even op moeten letten voor verkeer en rond de slagboom rijden. Hierna is het nog even wat steil.
Very nice climb, little traffic and perfect tarmac. Surrounded by green. Great climb. Just a shame it's such an annoying road to get there.
Hele mooie klim, weinig verkeer en perfecte asfalt. Omringt door groen. Zalige klim dus. Enkel jammer dat het zo een vervelende weg is om er te geraken.

Good flat road without potholes and little traffic with nice hairpin bends in the middle of the forest. The last piece along the houses is very bad. Park your car above at restaurant Marco Polo and drive the Rue de Sart-Tilman first down.
Heerlijke opwarmer, niet zo zwaar goede vlakke weg zonder gaten en weinig verkeer met leuke haarspeldbochten midden in het bos. Het laatste stuk daarentegen langs de huizen is zeer slecht. Parkeer je auto boven bij restaurant Marco Polo en rijdt de Rue de Sart-Tilman eerst naar beneden.
