The first part of this climb you follow the winding and nicely ascending main road from Untermaubach out of the valley. Het eerste deel van deze klim volg je de slingerende en lekker stijgende hoofdweg vanuit Untermaubach het dal uit. Nadat je rechtsaf bent geslagen gaat dat lekker stijgende nog even door terwijl je over een kleine weg door een groene omgeving rijdt tot aan de kapel waar je scherp linksaf gaat. Het laatste deel is wat saai want slechts lichtjes stijgend en tussen de huizen (je zou dit kunnen overslaan door bij de kapel rechtdoor naar Bergheim te gaan wat een mooie route is). De top is dan wel net weer buiten het dorp.
