Big Spotters Hill from Expo Haarlemmermeer

Nice place to play. On the south-east side you can climb it over the mtb route, then you can descend on the other side over an angle. With the racer over the fine asphalt. You can walk on the asphalt or the stairs. The climb itself doesn't really have anything special or challenging but the many options and the otherwise flat surroundings make it a fun playground for sports enthusiasts. The triathlon Haarlemmermeer invariably includes it in their route, where you walk up the stairs and down the asphalt. Take into account (many) other visitors, around the climb many people walk with dogs, on the climb there are often children so don't get too hung up on your PR attempt.

A good tarmac cycle path that spirals around the hill like an angled spiral. The right-angled turns do take the momentum out of it, making it a bit snappier.

A regular feature during our Tuesday evening training sessions. Both over tarmac and on the mtb route a tough climb, especially if you 'm doing several times in a row.

When I still lived in Amsterdam, this was sometimes a pleasant change from the polders and long straight roads. Unfortunately the location is not really on a through-route, so you have to search for it. You have to retrace your steps through every curve and take wind into account. The view is quite nice from this 'puy de dome' of the Haarlemmermeer.

Nice tarmac road to the top. On this beautiful afternoon I only met one cyclist on his way down. From the top a nice all around view on the Haarlemmermeer.
