De klim loopt lekker. Na het dorp rijd je al snel in een bosrijke omgeving met prima asfalt.
A long climb with a lot of altitude metres, which leads up from Traben-Trarbach mainly through woods. The first part of the climb winds wonderfully through a side valley of the Moselle and the percentages are steep but manageable. When you leave the forest the road becomes slightly undulating and you also descend a bit. From Irmenach the road starts to climb again and then it goes in a straight line, becoming steeper (but relatively light) to the top, which is in the bend. There are wide views in the agricultural area, but there is no view of the Moselle valley during the climb. The first part is beautiful with all its curves, the second part is a bit more boring. Mostly good tarmac and you only have to follow the same road.
Een lange klim met lekker veel hoogtemeters die vooral door bos omhoog loopt vanuit Traben-Trarbach. Het eerste deel slingert heerlijk via een zijdal van de Moezel omhoog waarbij de percentages stevig maar wel goed te doen zijn. Als je het bos verlaat wordt de weg licht golvend waarbij je ook een stuk daalt. Vanaf Irmenach gaat de weg weer stijgen waarna deze in een rechte lijn steeds steiler (maar relatief licht) naar de top loopt die in de bocht ligt. In het agrarische gebied weidse uitzichten maar je hebt tijdens de klim geen uitzicht op het Moezeldal. Het eerste deel is prachtig met alle bochten, het tweede deel is wat saaier. Overwegend goed asfalt en je hoeft alleen steeds dezelfde weg te volgen.
