Very popular climb among the locals. Actually always preceded by the Rua Alice (because, unlike most approaching roads, it has no cobblestones). No doubt the climb is also very popular because it is a bit less steep than some other of Rio's well-known climbs. On the other hand, the climb is then very long. The climb only really starts you can say from the moment you enter a narrow cobbled street. The cobblestones only last 150 metres, after which the road winds its way up through the jungle with the occasional beautiful view as a reward. Especially the view from the Mirante do Brócolis on Cristo Redentor is worth stepping off and taking a photo. The top of Sumaré can be seen from far and wide through the aerials.
